Wide Minds Network - Evaluation
From the start of the project an evaluation sub-committee consisting of Sweden, Wales and the Czech Republic has been working closely together with all the partners in a structured internal evaluation process.
In this work we have focused on
- The organization of the network and its work procedures
- The outcome of our conferences and our in-service training
- The impact of the project at school level - the experiences of the teachers and pupils involved in Wide Minds projects.
- The different activities in the project.

The evaluation work has been performed through:
- Surveys in the network regarding organisation and roles
- Surveys to conference participants
- Surveys on school level to teacher and students
- Interviews
- Case-studies
- Reports and analysis of surveys and activities

Yves Beernaert, a freelance expert from Belgium, working for the Commission, DG EAC, ministries of education, European and international organisations, has performed the external evaluation in close cooperation with the network and given feedback and advice on how to improve the network. Our Wide Minds CMS and our Moodle site are important forces in the evaluation with the rich documentation of experiences, examples of good practice, articles in Kaleidoscope and different media files.
